Spring, at long last has duly arrived! Today I saw my first Swallow checking out the barn close to Bodfan, where they have nested for over 25 years.
It has been a busy week for my moorhens who have been building their nests on my pond. They swim round tugging at dead reed leaves and, when they break off, swim to their nest with the long leaves trailing from their beaks. We have also seen a profusion of blossom and field flowers as well as bluebells in the woods. Spring is finally here!
