This has been an active summer in the fields surrounding Bodfan

Today in glorious sunshine I took part in the Big Butterfly Count around a Buddleia tree in front of Bodfan.

It is always a pleasure when a guest stays in Bodfan who is a keen photographer. Below are three such pictures copyrighted to AnnieRegis.

It has been a busy early summer at Bodfan. Yesterday, mother duck led her ducklings across the Bodfan field to the pond in Swallow Court. Earlier in the month the swallows returned to start nesting in their Swallow Court barn, the fields are full of buttercups and for a second year, Bodfan has been awarded a TripAdviser Certificate of excellence.

A couple of days ago we were greeted by a disc of red sun in the morning. Then as I looked around I saw my resident moorhens busily building their nest from dead bull rushes at the end of a willow tree branch.

Having had a fantastic warm March, although the sun in shining, snow has appeared on top of Snowdon.

The dark mornings allow one to witness beautiful sunrises from Bodfan

Despite the very dry summer and not too wet autumn, the field in front of Bodfan has again this year, produced a wonderful show of Waxcap Fungi

Anglesey, like many beaches around the UK, has received some unwelcome visitors but, you have to admire their beauty.

The glorious weather has given keen photographers the opportunity to capture some beautiful scenes. A guest, Ian Thomas, has kindly let me use some of his brilliant photos.
